FAMILY BACKGROUND
Bishop Dr. Obi Onubogu was born in Ogidi, Anambra State, to the late Hon. Dr. and Mrs. W. N.
Onubogu, a medical doctor before independence and later an accomplished politician under Rt.
Hon. Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Hon. M. I. Okpara of the Government of Eastern Nigeria. He is
happily married to Rev. Mrs. Obioma Onubogu, and they are blessed with five (5) children and
eleven (11) grandchildren.
EDUCATION
Dr. Onubogu's educational journey began at St. Augustine Grammar School in Nkwere, Orlu, Imo
State, from 1955 to 1960, where he earned his West African School Certificate.
In 1965, he took significant steps by enrolling in the Wakefield Police Detective College
and subsequently attending the Police Special Duties Training School at Scotland Yard, both
located in the United Kingdom.
CAREER
As a young police officer, he distinguished himself in service and rapidly climbed the
ranks. After returning from Scotland Yard, he became the 2nd in command of Mobile Force,
Squadron 3, Enugu, Nigeria, in 1966. That same year, he earned a promotion to Assistant
Superintendent of Police. Subsequently, in 1966, he joined the Biafran Army, where he served
as the ADC and personal assistant to the Biafran Head of State from 1966 to 1970. Following
this, he went into exile on the Ivory Coast from 1970 to 1976. Upon his return from exile in
1976, he established a successful company and served as its chief executive before devoting
himself to the kingdom of God.
CHRISTIAN SERVICE & MINISTRY
After conversion in 1977, Bishop Onubogu dedicated himself to serving the Kingdom of God in
various roles. In 1986, he joined the first Nigerian delegation to the Full Gospel Business
Men's Fellowship International Convention in Anaheim, USA.
The following year, in 1987, he assumed the position of Vice President of the Full Gospel
Business Men's Fellowship International, Ekulu Chapter, Enugu.
In 1988, Bishop Onubogu answered the call to ministry, marking the beginning of his
extensive journey in service to God and humanity. He was ordained as a full-time minister in
1989 and served as the pastor of Victory Christian Centre in Glasgow, UK. From 1990 to 1993,
he made significant contributions as a pastor at Victory Christian Mission in Enugu.
In the wake of prophetic impartations, he established High Dimension Christian Life
Ministries, with Rock Family Church as an affiliate. Since July 1993, for thirty years and
counting, he has faithfully served as the President of High Dimension Christian Life
Ministries and as the Head Pastor of Rock Family Church in Nigeria.
